Heat stress is the leading cause of economic loss on intensive farms: it reduces milk yield, slows pig growth and causes mortality in poultry houses. High-pressure adiabatic cooling lowers the temperature perceived by the animals by 8–12°C without wetting bedding, feed or structures.

The high-pressure system can integrate an automatic doser to atomise natural probiotics; the beneficial microorganisms colonise surfaces, bedding and air, establishing a biological barrier against pathogens, odours and contaminants.
